Intensive Training – Jesus and the gospels

An understanding of who Jesus of Nazareth is and how he is portrayed in the Gospels is fundamental to the church’s task of mission today. In this unit, taught by Frontier School of Mission dean, Dr Mark Worthing, participants will learn basic skills of reading the four Gospels. They will look at the different portrayals of Jesus in the synoptic Gospels and in the Gospel of John. There will be a focus on how Jesus was understood in the Gospels and how various groups view Jesus today.
