SUMMARY:Frontier Intensive Training - Missional Discipleship
DESCRIPTION:Melbourne School of Theology is excited to offer two units as intensives at its MST-Frontier Port Macquarie campus in the first semester of 2023 in collaboration with MST-Frontier School of Mission. The units can be applied toward either an accredited Certificate/Graduate Certificate (4 units) or a Diploma/Graduate Diploma (8 units) or can be taken as an audit for those who would simply like to sit in on the lectures and do the readings. \nThis unit\, taught by LCA Executive Officer for Local Mission Dr Tania Nelson\, and LCA pastor for New and Renewing Churches\, Nathan Hedt\, begins with Jesus’ practice of discipleship as found in the Gospels and examines practical ways in which discipleship can occur in various missional settings within the Australian context. \nThe student will not only be challenged to re-discover Jesus’ radical approach to discipleship\, but to apply this to their own lives and to mission and ministry in contemporary Australia. \nBooks to consider reading in preparation for this unit: \n\nJohn Stott.
